An accommodation as luxurious and stunning as Villa Palazzetta in southern Tuscany, Italy, can offer the best views of Val d’Orcia, a World Heritage Site. The villa has four bedrooms and is located on a bluff overlooking the renowned hill town of Montalcino, just five minutes by foot. It dates back to the 1600s, but has been beautifully restored to its original grandeur by the new owners, resulting in a contemporary and tasteful home with Italian furniture and custom-made local objects. Within this 5-acre gated property, a charming vineyard, olive tree orchard and fruit orchard are surrounded by incredible lighting, which add to the feeling of surrealism, magnificence, and beauty that guests will find in the area.
Each of the villa's four bedrooms is named differently and painted in pastel colors, giving them an air of intimacy. There is an ensuite bathroom and a king-size bed in the first bedroom, called Bedroom Cipressi. There are two further rooms, Bedroom Vitaletta and Bedroom Amiata, that are both furnished with queen beds with their own attached bathrooms. Finally, we have the Bedroom Val d'Orcia, which has two single beds and a bathroom. With gorgeous minimalistic pieces of furniture, the interiors are adorned with panache. Each of the bedrooms offers a unique experience with its own details, adding to the luxurious allure of the property.
On the external grounds, guests will find a covered patio area containing a long wooden table with chandeliers dangling over wood beams that can be used for alfresco dining. Guests can gather outside in a spacious gathering area, which is furnished with lounge-type sofas and pillows for socializing, sharing laughter, and having lively discussions. By the paved terrace, a rectangular solar-heated pool measures 4m x 8m and is lined with chairs on one side and some casual round tables on the other, facing the alfresco dining area.
There is an elegant and stylish design featured in the dwelling, where guests will be pleasantly inspired by the space and interior design. With its cotta tiles and clean lines, the living room features the same minimalist furniture found in the bedrooms as well as floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that allow the outdoors to stream into the home. The dining area is equally stylish, with a long wooden table and chairs that take advantage of the views from outside. In the fully-equipped kitchen, guests can find solidly built materials with an island that, in addition to being a perfect dining spot, also serves as a bar area with high-bar stools.
There are various services and amenities available to guests at this villa - some are part of the stay package and others can be purchased separately. Among the services included are welcome drinks upon arrival, complimentary WiFi access, a baby cot for toddlers, laundry service, personal assistants, housekeeping that is chargeable, and airport transfer that is also chargeable.
Since Villa Palazzetta overlooks Montalcino's hills, guests can enjoy exploring the historic city walls and taking in the breathtaking views. Visitors will find plenty to keep them entertained during their stay in Montalcino, thanks to the variety of shops and restaurants that line the streets. A visit to some of the bigger and most famous estates around Montalcino while enjoying some samples of the liquor and brunch may be interesting for guests, since Montalcino is also known for producing Italy's Brunello wines. The Val d'Orcia has been recognized by UNESCO, and guests can spend a day exploring Pienza, Montepulciano, Monticchiello, and Bagno Vignoni, which are among Italy's most iconic hill towns.
