Puglia villas for rent

Discover Puglia’s postcard-pretty landscape, made up of limestone cliffs, glistening seas, scenic coastlines and the lush countryside. The region also offers many things to see and do—from historic sites and nature attractions, to picturesque towns where you can admire the local architecture and enjoy Pugliese cuisine.

Villas in Puglia

Choose from our hand-picked selection of Puglia villas, each of which are inspected with care to meet our standards of excellence. When you book a vacation rental with us, you’re choosing from the best of holiday homes that the region has to offer.

Our Puglia villas are equipped with a full range of amenities to offer our guests the very best in comfort. Each property features a private pool, generous outdoor spaces, beautifully appointed interiors and luxury concierge service—just perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family.

Family activities and attractions in Puglia

Different from other areas like Tuscany, Puglia is known for its scenic and diverse coastline; you’ll find long stretches of white sand beaches, secluded coves and dramatic cliffs. Spending long, lazy days at the beach is a must for Puglia villa vacationers—and you’ll find some of the best beaches in seaside resorts like Porto Cesareo and Polignano a Mare.

In Porto Cesareo, your options include Porto Cesareo Beach and Torre Lapillo Beach. The latter boasts clear, shallow waters that are ideal for wading in, making it a great venue for families with young children.

Polignano a Mare, a popular beach resort town is home to small, tucked-away coves that tend to be rocky, rather than sandy—so bringing along your beach shoes is recommended. Some of our favourite spots to soak up the sun, and take in stunning cliff views include Cala Monachile, Cala Porto and Cala Paura.

Outdoor lovers will enjoy visiting the Gargano Peninsula, a nature reserve that offers picturesque beaches, lush forests and hiking trails. It’s a vast area that offers much to see and do—including attractions like the Tremiti Islands and Umbra Forest—so you can easily spend a week or more here.

There are a dizzying number of castles, fortresses and cathedrals spread out over Puglia, and a visit to these historic sites is a great way to discover the region’s rich history. Castel del Monte, a citadel and castle that dates back to the 13th century is known for its unique octagonal design and sweeping sea views. Castello di Trani, set in a stunning seaside location is perfect for visiting at sunset.

Just a skip away from the castle is Basílica Catedral de San Nicolás Peregrino, also known as Trani Cathedral. Take in the Romanesque architectural design and intricate stone carvings of the cathedral, and head up its spiral staircase for panoramic sea views. The Basilica of Santa Caterina di Alessandria, located in the Salento region features a range of architectural styles and spectacular frescoes.

Young travellers—and the young at heart—will enjoy the variety of theme parks and wildlife conservation sites in Puglia. You can learn all about dolphins and observe the animals in their natural habitats at Jonian Dolphin Conservation, or discover the wildlife at Zoosafari Fasanolandia.

Other options for a fun-filled day out with the kids include Aquapark Egnazia, one of the largest water parks in southern Italy, and Indiana Park, an adventure park with acrobatic courses.

Restaurants, cafes and bars in Puglia

The local cuisine in Puglia is known for its extensive selection of fish and seafood dishes. Raw seafood is widely popular here, and is often served with little else added to it. Think mussels served with a dash of lemon, shrimp eaten without garnish, or squid served with a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds.

Seasonal vegetables, such as eggplant, onions and peppers are typically served sott'olio—a preservation method in which vegetables are pickled in oil—or lightly grilled. Don’t miss out on other local specialties such as the bombetta Pugliese, Bella di Cerignola and Rustico Leccese.

Feast on some of the tastiest plates in the region at Michelin-starred restaurants like Villa Feltrinelli, La Tortuga, Primo Restaurant or Casa Sgarra Ristorante. For a more relaxed dining experience, head to a waterfront pizzeria or trattoria. You’ll find a good selection of dining venues located just a short distance away from your Puglia villa.

You may also opt for self-catering, or have a private chef prepare meals at your Puglia villa. There are plenty of shops and markets nearby offering fresh produce and ingredients, making self-catering convenient. Or leave the shopping and menu planning to the villa concierge and chef—all you need to do is sit back, and let the restaurant experience be brought right to your table.
